1. Moduli S.Ch. 2 e la scheda biografica del richiedente la rinuncia alla cittadinanza thailandese (scaricabili online), 2 copie

2. 12 fotografie del richiedente formato 4 x 6 cm (abito formale)

3. Fotografie dei genitori del richiedente formato 4 x 6 cm, 6 foto per ciascun genitore, con libretto di famiglia (Tabien Baan), carta d’identità, passaporto dei genitori con 2 copie

4. Certificato di cittadinanza italiana

5. Passaporti thailandese e italiano con 2 copie

6. 2 copie del certificato di nascita

7. Carta d’identità thailandese con 2 copie

8. 2 copie del libretto di famiglia thailandese e italiano del richiedente

9. 2 copie del certificato di leva militare (modello Sor Dor 9 / Sor Dor 1 o Sor Dor 8)

10. Certificato di matrimonio (se presente) con 2 copie

11. Certificati di cambio di nome o cognome (se presenti) con 2 copie

12. 1 testimone thailandese, con passaporto, carta d’identità e libretto di famiglia del testimone con 2 copie

Tempistica

Le autorità competenti in Thailandia impiegano circa 3–5 anni per esaminare e approvare la richiesta di rinuncia, a seconda della completezza della documentazione.

La rinuncia alla cittadinanza thailandese sarà effettiva solo dopo l’approvazione da parte del Ministro dell’Interno
Successivamente, l’Ambasciata informerà il richiedente per la restituzione del passaporto e della carta d’identità thailandese.

• L’Ambasciata potrà richiedere documenti aggiuntivi se necessario.

• Il richiedente deve presentarsi personalmente, insieme ai genitori, al coniuge (se presente) e al testimone.

Renunciation of Thai Citizenship

Required Documents

1. Form S.Ch. 2 and the biographical form of the applicant for renunciation of Thai nationality (downloadable), 2 copies

2. Twelve (12) photographs of the applicant, size 4 x 6 cm 

3. Photographs of the applicant’s parents, size 4 x 6 cm, 6 photos each, together with their house registration (Tabien Baan), Thai ID cards, and passports, with 2 copies

4. Certificate of Italian nationality

5. Thai and Italian passports with 2 copies

6. Two (2) copies of the birth certificate

7. Thai ID card with 2 copies

8. Two (2) copies of the applicant’s Thai and Italian house registration

9. Two (2) copies of the military service certificate (Sor Dor 9 / Sor Dor 1 / Sor Dor 8)

10. Marriage certificate (if applicable) with 2 copies

11. Name/surname change certificates (if any) with 2 copies

12. One Thai witness, with their passport, Thai ID card, and house registration, together with 2 copies

Processing Time

The relevant Thai authorities generally take approximately 3–5 years to review and approve the renunciation request, depending on the completeness of the submitted documents.

The renunciation of Thai nationality becomes legally effective only after approval by the Minister of Interior and publication in the Royal Gazette.
Once finalized, the Embassy will inform the applicant to return the Thai passport and Thai ID card.

• The applicant must appear in person, together with their parents, spouse (if applicable), and the Thai witness.

• Residents of other provinces must submit the request to:
  The Commander of the Provincial Police of their province.
